Grayson Perry is an English contemporary artist. He was born in 1960 in Chelmsford, England. Grayson Perry is well known artist for his ceramic vases and cross-dressing, his teddy bear.
His first exhibition was his ceramic works in 1984. One of Perry popular work was ceramic vase called "Aspects of myself" which was made in 2001. This vase was paintings with different figures in different sizes and some of this figures look like it popped out which is very impressive.
Perry won the Turner prize in 2003 for his very unique and impressive artworks which is not only his ceramic vases that he made but it was also for his popular cross-dressing which he dressed as a girl and defined himself as "Claire" that was his alter-ego.
Most of Perry works were inspired by his experiences in his life and his personalities.
This is another of Perry popular vase called "Cuddly Toys Caught on Barded Wire" which was made in 2001. This vase looks very interesting and I like the way Perry drew the figures, it looks very well made. This vase was describe as a women in his low self-esteem.
Beside from his ceramic artworks, Grayson Perry also famous for his very interesting painting.
"The Annunciation of the Virgin Deal" is one of his popular painting which was made in 2012. This painting looks very colourful and terribly detailed. When looking into this painting I can see there a lot of story happened in this painting.
