Researching about purple colour

 I decided to choose purple haze theme as my project. To make my project getting better, I will research about colour psychology of purple colour. My project is to create a house for a family of 3 people. Choosing colour for interior is very important because it represent and create feeling when people entering to the environment.

Colour purple can present as Mysterious, noble, glamorous. According to colour psychology" verywell mind" website purple colour have its own effect such as it lead to feelings, emotions and behavior. Purple colour also describe as feeling of creativity, passion, imagination, inspiration, wealth, feminity and so on.

Light purple can define as light-hearted, romantic energies, calmness. Darker shade of purple can represent as sadness and frustration and some other country in Europe it can be mean as death and mourning.

For me, personally I don't really like purple colour especially darker shape of purple because I feel like it make me feel overwhelmed and not bright. But when it comes to light pastel purple, I think it a beautiful colour and it bright which make me feel calm, relaxing and stress-free.

Overall, after study on purple colour, I think I will be using light pastel purple colour for my project because I think light pruple colour for walls because using light purple can make room feeling more relaxing, welcoming and fresh. I think I will be using dark pruple colour on decoration and furniture instead of walls.

I found an artist that using purple colour in their design. Andrés Reisinger is an Argentinian interior designer, product, director and 3D graphic designer based in Barcelona. Here is some example of his project that he is using purple in his design.

The reason that I chose this design because it is similar to my shade of colour that I will be use in my design. In this design, Reisinger use different light shade pink colour on the wall which I was thinking that instead of pink, I will use in light purple colour in living room because using light purple colour will make the room look bright with natural light and using light shade of purple colour make people feeling calm, relaxing and welcoming. Living room is a place that people use there time for relaxing, enjoying, spending time with their family which is why I think light purple shade is good choice to use in living room.

Since I can find any interior designer that are using light shade of purple colour so I decided to use some example image that show how I will use the colour in my design.
