Further research: Ana Milena Hernández Palacios and Christophe Penasse

Ana Milena Hernández Palacios was born in 1982 in Bogotá, Colombia. She moved to Spain at the age of 18 to pursue her dream to study interior design. Her mother was an florist designer which influence her to get interested in design. She studied interior design in Valencia university.

Christophe Penasse was born in 1983 in Belgium. He studied marketing and later he moved to Spain.

Ana Milena Hernández Palacios and Christophe Penasse are both working together and launched design studio called " Masquespacio" in 2010. Palacios is the founder and creative director of Masquespacio and Penasse is a co-founder and he is in charge of the organization and communication at Masquespacio.

Their design was influence from evoked emotions of their clients and storytelling. I will be looking at some of their project which they include purple into the designs.

This is their restaurant project called Burger Bun in Milan, Italy. There is one part of the design which they use purple colour. In this design, I really like how they use the combination between light purple on the wall with kind of creamy yellow chair and wood table that looks really suit together. Using light colour in place such as restaurant I think it really good because it doesn't make the space feel overwhelmed and feeling welcoming, relaxing.   

This is their other restaurant project design named Kento in Valencia, Spain. They used all metallic materials and combination between dark purple colour with gold colour and a bit of blueish green colour which I don't think it is a good combination but turned out surprisingly beautiful. By looking at this design, it create a sense of romantic feeling and energies.

This is another of their sunglasses and frame shop design project named Breath. I chose this to look at this design because I like the combination of purple with gray colour, it makes the entire space feeling of luxury and power but I think using dark dim colour in shop such as sunglasses it might effect the light and it might cause different look of products when seeing from the inside of the shop and outside, I think it would be better to use light colour. 

This is their student resident project named RESA BILBAO in Bilbao, Spain. I chose this because I really like the design and the use of colour and it similar to what I am planning to use purple tiles in the kitchen and I also like the design with combination of wood furniture which I also want to include wood into my design.

After finished looking at their design, I think it helped me and inspired on how I will be using purple into my design and I will do some sketches also experiment with purple colour to see on how it will look like, how can I change and improve in my design.
